I am very passionate about showing how energy intensive industry can profit from adopting energy productivity using Ensight Energy Solutions’ proven methodology. We conducted a 1-day Business Case for Energy Productivity Workshop in partnership with UCT in Cape Town last Wednesday on 2 August. The workshop provided an overview of the business case for Energy Productivity in energy intensive industry. The workshop provided the methodology we applied to uncover a 70% energy cost reduction in the optimisation of converter blowers at a copper operation savings R10.5 million per annum in electricity without any capital expenditure and how we have delivered over R500 million or USD40 million over 3 years to our clients.
